About

Steamclam Media Empire is helmed by Filmmaker and Creative Director Matt Kliegman, with the singular purpose of illuminating unseen narratives with a delicate human touch and a bold and unique visual language. His first feature film “Markie in Milwaukee” was a Sundance Documentary Fund 2015 recipient, and won the Grand Jury Prize at Slamdance 2019. He was also a Producer and Editor on the documentary feature “Don’t Try to Understand : A Year in the Life of Earl “DMX” Simmons” which premiered at Tribeca 2020 and will be released on HBO. Matt recently worked as an editor on the feature documentary “Relative” produced by Academy Award Winner Laura Poitras. Matt helped New York Presbyterian win an Emmy Award in 2022 for Best TV Commercial, as well as a host of awards and accolades for adidas Originals, Men's Wearhouse, Sourpatch Kids and ADP. His other atistic works have shown everywhere from art museums to Instagrams. He has collaborated with artists such as Kanye West and Beyonce, world renowned fashion brands Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs and Fenty, as well as creating visual works for Museum of Modern Art and Film Society at Lincoln Center. 

Matt is an active parent in his twin daughters lives, engaging in the full suite of creative challenges involved in raising future facing children. Matt loves competitive bike racing, and hopes to have his own strain of Marijuana commercially available by Summer 2023.
